By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Identify physical & behavioral indicators of child abuse and maltreatment, including differentiating physical abuse, neglect, emotional maltreatment, and sexual abuse; identify adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and recognize signs of abuse or maltreatment while interacting virtually.

When to Report and When to Support.
Describe reportable situations of child abuse and maltreatment; adhere to protocols to reduce implicit bias in decision making processes. - Summarize the actions required of mandated reporters in NYS when child abuse or maltreatment is suspected
- enumerate ways educators can help to prevent child abuse.
